“Idaho Dance Sport has been more than just a dance school for me, it has been a life changing experience. Easily one of the best decisions I’d ever made! Hailing from a middle-class, conservative Indian family I grew up thinking that I’d end up like most people around me – with a good paying job, a wife, a car, a house and kids…all by the time I was 25. That was my definition of a happy life. But joining IDS changed everything for me…in a good way! 🙂
I’d realized that my vision of happiness was very limited…that life was much broader than that and was meant to be, well, lived! You only truly live when you find and pursue your passions. And pursue them I did…Dancing opened up new horizons and possibilities for me. I often look back and realize how far I’ve come from being a shy, introverted engineer to this ‘happy feet’ maniac.
But anybody can learn how to dance from anywhere, right?
Wrong!
There are teachers and then there are teachers; Tabish is the latter. His teaching methodology is ‘first principles’ oriented, meaning he emphasizes the fundamentals…a lot! His motto is to bring out the best dancer in you.
‘Greatness is built with hard work and dedication, with perseverance and devotion, with sweat and tears, with practice, practice and more practice’. This mindset, that circulates within the walls of IDS, has given me a rock solid foundation to build upon and helped me not just become a better dancer but also a better person in life. Remember when I said that it’s been life changing?
I now live in LA and have taken a few classes from reputed instructors, but Tabish still stands out…he’s a good friend and a great mentor. In fact I miss his lessons so much that I’m planning to fly out to Boise once a month for taking Latin ballroom classes…that’s how much I recommend IDS for anyone who’s wanting to learn dance.
You won’t regret your time here…trust me, I’m the living example of it.”
